/// The photographs in this set were shot during a month-long solo journey through Pakistan in the spring of 2008. From Pakistan’s border with China to its border with India, this set documents a highly hazardous and, quite literally, breath-taking overland journey through some of the most intensely beautiful, daunting and isolated mountainous terrain on earth. A large portion of the journey was also spent in Pakistan’s volatile tribal belt along the Afghan-Pakistan border, a region plagued by poverty, insurgency and terrorism but one whose inhabitants display profound resilience and hospitality.
